Little
Shamrocks News, Issue #6 -- Food Ireland Affiliate
Announcement
Hello
Friends, The
last few months have been very busy here at LittleShamrocks.com.
Terry and I had an impromptu summer trip to Ireland
for two weeks. We went to an Il Divo concert at
The Point in Dublin. You can read all about it
and our
other adventures in the eight new stories which
are online now. I have added a few new recipes,
two of
which were given to me by a well-known Mohill,
Co. Leitrim cook, Tina Slevin. We have also been
preparing
to make some changes to the online store which
are now complete.
After
much consideration to improve our online store,
we decided
to become affiliated with our
Irish food
distributor, Food Ireland. The most important
reason was to offer our customers a wider range
of food
choices, including perishable items such as meats,
fish, butter and cheeses. Some of the other perishable
items they offer are fresh breads, cakes and
other baked goods. You will also find some non-food
items,
such as Irish pottery, tea kettles, tea towels,
cookbooks and even some toiletries and cleaning
products. Food
Ireland also offers gift certificates.
There
are a few products that will no longer be available.
One is Butler's Irish Chocolates
and
the other is
Bewley's Irish Cream Coffee. Food Ireland has
a line of delicious Cadbury boxed chocolates,
as
well as
many other brands of chocolate bars and candy.
They do not offer Bewley's ground coffee but
they do have
Bewley's teas, instant coffees and other brands
of instant coffee and tea.
When
you visit the LittleShamrocks.com online store,
you will see listed some of our favorite
products,
along with photos and descriptions. When
you click on a product to purchase, you will automatically
be linked to the Food Ireland web site, where
you
will actually make your purchase and payment.
While you are browsing through their web
site,
you may
purchase anything that they offer, even if
it is not listed on our store pages. Your
purchase will
be shipped from Food Ireland directly to
you.
We
have changed the layout of the recipe pages with
all of the Irish recipes at the
top of
the page and
my other favorite recipes at the bottom.
There is also a new Irish Recipes Index
page where
you can
find the Irish recipes more easily.
We
hope that you will be happy with the decisions
we have made. We believe that
this change
will benefit LittleShamrocks.com but,
more importantly,
our customers.
We are very interested in your opinions,
so please use the web site comment form
to let
us know
what you think of the new format. Thank
you.
Until
next time ... Slainte!
