September 2006 Newsletter

Welcome, friends of LittleShamrocks.com!

I am proud to send out our first LittleShamrocks.com Newsletter to let you know what is going on now and things that are coming up.

I am Tyna Willett and my job is researching Irish food products for our Online Store, creating recipes and writing the stories about our travels in Ireland. Ever since I went to Ireland for the first time I have wanted to share my experiences with everyone I know.

I want to mention some people who are working behind the scenes at LittleShamrocks.com. Lou Bradbard is the webmaster. Andi Willett, is our editor. Terry Reynolds, my friend and traveling companion, helps me with the stories I have written.

Some of the new recipes don’t necessarily use the Irish products, but they are some of my favorites, and I really want to share them with you. I have just finished creating several more recipes, which we will be adding during the fall. We will also be adding some new categories to the Recipes Section such as Appetizers, Casseroles, Soups, Stews and Pies.

Future Travels

Terry and I are planning our next trip to Ireland, coming up in November. This time we will be there for two weeks. We will spend the first 10 days at Phyl and Jim O’Brien’s B & B, The Travelers Rest, in Mohill, Co. Leitrim. On our last day in Mohill, we will be spending the night at the new Lough Rynn Castle, Estate and Golf Resort. The last 3 days will be spent in Trim, Co. Meath, where we will stay at one of Mary and Michael Lydon’s self catering accommodations.

Terry and I are planning to visit many places that we missed on our other trips. Out of Co. Leitrim, we plan on going to the Port of Sligo to research the ship’s logs. I believe that my great great Grandparents sailed from there when they emigrated to Quebec, Canada.

Terry wants to go to Conn, Co. Mayo, where they filmed his favorite movie, “The Quiet Man”. We are still planning to look for the Bernard Reynolds’ family home and burial site in the Mohill/Cloone area.

When we get to Co. Meath, we will go back to Malahide to look up Mrs. Reynolds-O’Brien at Pegasus B & B. We want to see the 5000 year old ruins at Newgrange and the Hill of Tara. We will also go into Dublin to St. Stephen’s Green and the O’Connell Bridge.

We are planning to take lots of photos of places and people that we missed before. When we return, I will be writing new stories and adding a lot of pictures. I want to get photos of all our friends that you have met in LittleShamrocks.com.

I can see that this is going to be a very busy year. We will be opening the Online Store soon, so you can order and try our products. We want you to know that we appreciate your interest in LittleShamrocks.com.

Slainte!

Tyna
